Five Tools You Totally Need for Effortless Hairstyling

I'm a low maintenance kind of gal... but just when it comes to styling my hair. Here are five tools to help style yours easy-breezy without using any heat — or time.

1. blowPro's The Perfect Shower Cap.

Durable, lined with terrycloth and big enough to hold ALLLLL your luscious locks, the name of this shower cap says it all. It even comes with a clear traveling case!

2. Not Your Mother's Clean Freak Refreshing Dry Shampoo.

There's gotta be close to a million dry shampoos on the market these days, but Clean Freak takes the cake. Cheaper than Bed Head's Rockaholic dry shampoo and providing better coverage than Batiste's, this is the dry shampoo I'm going to use for the rest of my natural life.

3. Velcro Curlers

Their curlers have been around for decades, and they're a great way to pump up your roots and add some shape to your hair. Roll them in before you do anything else, and pull them out a few minutes before you walk out the door. Divas sporting short hair should buy these  to catch all those layers, and long-locked queens should try these for uniformity.

4. Frederic Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray.

Fekkai's Sheer Hold Hairspray is hands down the best hair spray on the market, IMHO. It doesn't dry hard or shiny. You can tousle your waves. You can spray your bangs into the exact location you want them. You can add some definition to your layers. You can add volume. You can tease. You can groan, "UGH, THIS ISN'T WHAT I WANT," and brush through the spray and do your 'do again, even after the spray has dried.

5. The Sock Bun.

Seriously, if you have not discovered the sock bun and what it can do for your posh game, it's time to get with the program. STAYED UP TOO LATE? No problem. WOKE UP TOO LATE? No problem. PRESSING NEED TO LOOK IMPRESSIVE AND PUT-TOGETHER? This is your ticket. Above is a link to Birchbox's DIY sock bun, because everybody has a tube sock without a partner and there's no need to spend six dollars on a sponge

Can you tell I hadn't shampooed my hair in six days in this photo? No, no you cannot because #sockbun.
